More and more people want to experience skydiving. And every year, the numbers increase. Simply because people are curious or they want to experience the excitement that sky diving brings. Besides, it has been proven to be a safe activity though it may seem very dangerous.
If you are one of those who plan to go skydiving in Canada or the United States, here are some of the places you can go to.
In the United States
1. Alaska (Wasilla) – Wasilla in Alaska is 72 km north of Anchorage. When you skydive in Wasilla, you will have an awesome view of the glarier, the lakes and the mountains from 14000 feet above.
2. California (Monterey Bay)- When you skydive in Monterey Bay, you will be able to view the Santa Cruz area, the Salinas Valley and Monterey Bay. It is indeed a great experience to fly above the beaches in California.
3. Colorado (Rocky Mountains)- When you skydive in Colorado, what you will see is the entire Rocky Mountain which includes the Longs Peak.
4. Hawaii (Wailua)- If you choose to skydive in Wailua, Hawaii, you will experience viewing the Pearl Harbour, the island of Oahu, Keana Point and Diamond Head. Plus you will also see the Pacific Islands.
5. Rhode Island (Newport)- In Newport Rhode Island, it is simply breathtaking to skydive and view the ocean waves, sailboats, the mansions, rugged coastline of Narragansett Bay and the beach town of Newport Rhode Island.
6. Utah (Zion National Park) – When you skydive over the Zion National Park, you will see various incredible places like Burnt Mountain, the Left and Right Forks of the North Creek, and the Kolob Terrace.
In Canada
1. British Columbia (Whistler) – Whistler is just a 90 minute drive if you’re coming from Vancouver, British Columbia. It is one of the best places to skydive. When you do skydive, you will be able to view Mount Curries, Whistler and Blackcomb. Skydiving is not the only sport in Whistler. There is bungee jumping, snowboarding, skiing, heli-skiing, and ziplining.
2. Ontario (Niagara) – The skydive place is called The Niagara Skydive Centre. It is 45 minutes from Niagara Falls. You will view the place below for almost 4 minutes at 190 km per hour speed.
3. Ontario (Gananoque) – Another place where you can skydive in Ontario is at the Gananoque. Here you will be able to view St. Lawrence and the farmland with a freefall of no less than 9,000 feet above ground.
4. Nova Scotia (Annapolis Valley) – Skydiving is in Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, the wine and agriculture center. This province has a fantastic scenery and friendly people. You will enjoy skydiving from 3,000 feet above ground. You will also see the Bay of Fundy which is not very far from Halifax.
In order to fully enjoy and fully maximize your experience in skydiving, choose the place and the view that you would like to see, just like how you would choose among the luxury honeymoon destinations available for your honeymoon. There are plenty more places where you can skydive around the world. However, if you do live in the United States or in Canada, it is best to go to these places mentioned.
